Swing Tags – Letterpress printed in a combination of four Pantone colour on Beer Matt Board 390gsm and custom die cut into a pineapple shape with a hole.
Inspired by a true-enough story, the Diaz Spring/Summer collection ‘Edo Tropica’ told of the bewilderment experienced by the first Japanese to ever set foot on the Hawaiian Islands: the shipwrecked crew of the Inawaka-maru.
We designed the mis-interpreted, upside-down pineapple to form the swingtag – with a snippet of the story printed on the back, complete with language barrier. The tags were letterpress printed in a combination of four fluorescent colours in a diamond halftone.
