Business Cards – Letterpress printed by Hungry Workshop in metallic ink and embossed on Colorplan Imperial Blue 350gsm, custom die cut with round corners.
Menus – Digitally printed by Press Print in CMYK on Colorplan Pale Grey 270gsm, custom die cut and folded.
Tote Bags – Screen printed in metallic silver and navy ink.
Mayday landed in a sunny corner location on Bridge Road, Richmond. We developed the visual identity for the cafe, along with signage, social media assets, letterpress calling cards and custom die-cut menus for launch.
The huge 120-seater cafe is airy and light, with bi-fold windows, white walls, polished concrete and natural timbers. For the identity we created a parachuting package and several typographic executions, including a throwback to classic Australian TV series with Linotype’s Reporter #2, codified naval flags and a cloudy call for help on their tote bag.
