Su Baker, published in partnership with Nicholas Thompson Gallery, is a collection of paintings, sketches, references, notes, essays and interviews discussing and decoding Su’s paintings and exhibitions since the early 80s. The book’s textural approach reflects Su’s work; vibrant and tactile with surprising depth.

The book features a die cut dust jacket with spot fluorescent ink, revealing a hard bound cover with white and clear foils on a pale grey stock. Inside, a mix of paper stocks delineates artwork and reference from essay and interview. Transparent cover pages with digital white ink maintain the pace of the book.

Su Baker is the current Director of the Victorian College of the Arts. She has held solo exhibitions since 1983 in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, and her work is held in the collections of the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Australian Government’s Artbank and several regional and tertiary collections.
